zetti with smeared ink

ok. I was scared of this one.
I thought "zetti" was like bigfoot or something. I had no idea it was an "art style"
turns out it is pretty simple. and way cool!
especially for the add woman in me.. there is basically no boundaries or limits. Bright colors. Mix things that don't go together.. such as humans and animals..
I chose this pic of my beautiful mother in law. I do love her! She has the most amazing smile..
added her to a creature from Smeared Ink..
splashed on some random text and embellies..

It is on my little craft shelf, so I can look up and smile :)

I made it simple

I colored some amazing Element images from

to represent Earth, Fire, and Air


and a nypmh to represent water..

colored some candles a brownish color

added some fallish flowers and taa-daa..

A star for my mom

I had to play along with a couple challenges this weekend..
Alice In Wonderland is my all time favorite ever... see tattoo posts on my other blog ;)

I have an old Alice in Wonderland book I picked up at the local bookstore.. so I can use the pages in my crafting..

I made some paper flowers with a couple of the pages.. added my mama (this pic was her last birthday) to one along with some mesh to make it pop
I added some lace and flowers to the other..
this was a little "stacking star box" that I've had sitting on my shelf for a couple years.. I have two more I am ready to alter now :)

text as nonsense challenge

I used a couple Graphic 45 papers to enter their challenge also. It all just seemed to go together for me..
I used the domestic goddess and a proper gentleman papers.. I absolutely adore my Graphic 45 papers. It is so hard for me to cut them up.. I have a stash..
But I took a deep breath and cut into em.. and now, I can't wait to dig in for more!!

I covered the top, inside, and bottom of the star and then added to the big flower with the Graphic 45 papers..
they are having a vote on Facebook.. so make sure you vote for me!

fall/Halloween rejuvenation challenge

I got you babe

I have a new addition to my family.. my hubby's neice had her baby girl, a couple months early, but she is stable and doing well..

so I got to make her a lil card and play along with really reasonable ribbon "I got you babe" challenge

I had some really cute baby girl paper and some of the rockstar stash from dcwv.

I found some bits n pieces of a satin ribbon, some heart ribbon and a lil baby pink ribbon and some pearls.. finished by adding some bling and flowers.. taa-daa.. a baby card :)

I picked her up some bathy stuff and will mail a lil present to her as a surprise!

I am late to the party.. but had to make my project!

I used two smeared ink stamps.. for the member hop

I am working on my book of shadows and this page is starting my "divination" exploration. This is the run "Laguz" meaning flow.


I stamped my nymph with two colors, colored her a bit and stickled her some..
added a heart from candy is dandy. colored it a bit and added some glitter, of course.. You can find these both at smeared ink store

alter for mom and dad

I made this alter for my mom and dad to help with the upcoming 31 days of Halloween.. but just couldn't wait to share.. aaaand the perfect challenge on smeared and smudged was to use papertowls or tp rolls..
so...

I grabbed a papertowl roll, cut it in half and painted it.




painted some lil white candles black.. stamped a grumpy for my dad and goddess for my mom, added some gems

I colored and stickled my calaveras sugar skulls (I am in love with these btw) from smeared ink



added some gems and bling..

then the best part (for me)



I rounded up some herbs from my (witchy) stash.. the list is:
Lavendar, wormwood, marjoram, white sage, spearmint, senna,
mullien, red clover, rosemary, wood betony..
 they are all for love, protection, courage, divination...etc..

sprinkled them around.. added some dried and silk flowers.. finished it off with incense

taa-daa.. an alter for my mom and dad :)

I love halloween time

this is my DT project for smudgy antics

I stamped a few lil smeared Ink images.. randomly..on some burned papers.. my house smelled like campfire!
made some lil crumpled flowers, glued them on sticks and popped them in my lil skully guy..
I kept this simple and easy, since I HAD to go to Zumba with my teenager :)
