Dark Fairy Tales with Poisoned Peas Please

Hello everyone and welcome to our 6th Challenge at Poisoned Peas Please (PPP). Our theme this time around is “Dark” Fairy Tales.
 Our 6th challenge begins today and ends Sept. 8. We want to see any kind of art you want to create, be it cards, altered art, ATCs, journal pages, fat books, anything that your heart desires, but we want an actual fairy tale with a “dark” nature.
 Most of the original fairy tales are very dark, at least until Disney got a hold of them. ;o) That’s what we want to see, the “dark” in that fairy tale.

My project is just the begining of a book I am making for myself.
I am altering a little book I grabbed from the dollar store..

I used Rapunzel from Ike's digis! Isn't she beautiful?
I decoupaged her down, just so she will stay tight. I used some of my Graphic 45 paper stash, which I will use for the whole book.. some beautiful flowers and a little wooden bird to finish off the cover of my book.
I can't wait to work on more. I am excited to see how it will turn out.

I'm ALIVE! and back with Poisoned Peas Please and Bugaboo

I finally got a chance to get a project done. I had four custom scrapbooks to make, so I've been super busy and haven't gotten to "play"

but here it is!

Of course I had to use pink. It's an obsession.

a lot late..
this is my DT project for smudgy antics

I stamped a few lil smeared Ink images.. randomly..on some burned papers.. my house smelled like campfire!
made some lil crumpled flowers, glued them on sticks and popped them in my lil skully guy..
I kept this simple and easy, since I HAD to go to Zumba with my teenager :)

My first Smeared and Smudged Dt post!

I am so excited to be able to put my very first post as a Smeared Ink DT member up!


I tried to make something extra special, and it kind of got out of control.

I started with a little wooden coffin.

I tried to die it with Tim Holtz aged wood ink, which turned my hands blue! (they are still blue btw)

I added some netting (from an orange bag.. I love to recycle)

I colored the fantabulous image "Frankenhottie" from Tiddly Inks.. made specifically for Smeared and Smudged.. (with my new watercolor pencils)

There was a little mistake when gluing her down. For some reason, most of my adheisives wouldn't work on the coffin, so I had to use my sticky glue.. It leaked ink through my paper and made her look kinda off.. But maybe that's just adding to her quirkiness..

I stickled her and tried to cover up most of the leakage..

Moving on to the inside..

can you hear the creaking?



I trapped a lil grumpie inside with some fairy dust. Hoping this will make him, not so grumpy. Or maybe it will give him special powers. Well have to wait and see.
